Generic message to all participants regarding ROUND II

ROUND II: Good morning/afternoon/evening,

We are organising another Treasure Hunt, due to take place on Saturday 19th of September 2009. For those of you who dont know what this particular treasure was and thus need some sort of example of what it was link, you may go to
to find out. Thankyou.

Hence, this must be said;

Katherine is back from Rwanda (YESSSS!) having started the EGP project successfully and will be returning back there to see what time has done and how the various projects are developing independently. Thankyou again to everyone who so generously made/donated art work, time, support, cakes, bunting, megaphones, stationary, rum, their musical talents, equipment and instruments, their space and art (again-thankyou) as these efforts helped the progression of the project exponentially. The EGP team will be able to sustain the relationships they made and see how the project develops independently going back at regular intervals. We are starting to oganise a sequel, but this time we want people to suggest another appropriate charity for us to raise funds for. We are looking for more art and perhaps new venues, music, more journalists, more contributers, and the likes et-cetera. I will ask Katherine to show her photos on t'internet.

As another treasure hunt is drawing nigh we need répondez s'il vous plaît-ing. Your responses will thrill us, your involvement and all points of interest are profoundly appreciated, especially those regarding the noble, virtuous and adept art of treasure hunting. Similarly we will take delight in reading/ hearing your suggestions concerning charities, venues or anything related (or unrelated).

Love from,
Jennifer Crouch and Katherine Cater

TREASURE: DAY OF TREASURE HUNT

Here are some photos: People we just gathering together at this point. We waited around until a substantial amount of people appeared, the turnout was really good and we used a mega phone to announce the rules. The cakes were being sold and people were getting excited. The cakes were amazing and so we thank their backer, Katherine Cater, Bea Harbor, Sarah Wharton Catherine Crouch and none other than culinary treat making legends The Cake Collective

Treasure: Prizes that could be YOURS?

Some random donations arrived.....You could be so lucky. Where and WHAT, will they be? Who knows! 3 of the hidden tokens correspond to prizes are not like the others. You might find a token that corresponds to one of 3 very random prizes. All the numbers are allocated to pieces at complete and utter blind random so there is no way of possibly knowing what leads to what, how or why! We will be sitting out to make it fair but will still pay the £5 for a laugh (hahaha) and for the charity and watch you scurry around.

NOTE: One Token per Participant, as in one prize per participant. When you get a token (not a clue) bring it to us to write it next to your name in our admission register.

Kacalac Treasure Hunt

We are Katherine Cater and Jennifer Crouch. We are organizing a fundraising treasure hunt on the 7th of March in Hoxton Square from 1pm. Seek out the numbered tokens and these will correspond to art created by the artists on our links bit as well as an assortment of other unbelievable things you just could not believe! At the square while you hunt for tokens there will be: cake, treats, popcorn, tea and stuff to do, a pinyata to open followed by a party at the venue where our treasure will be hidden (which will wonderfully revealed by signs and a trail of bunting). There, we will find all the treasures of the hunt and treasure hunters will be allocated their prizes. You will be served some beautiful rum and punch courtesy of the beautiful people of Pampero Rum who are helping us make this a memorable event and raise awareness about the charity and cause. Any unfound treasures will be auctioned off during the evening's festivities upstairs at the Macbeth in Hoxton where we will have be having a party!

THE CAUSE AND THE CHARITY:
With a team of 8 we are fundraising and training throughout the year before spend ing 7 weeks in Rwanda in June and July 2009. All of the funds we raise from hunt parcitipation entry, cakes and snacks are for this very reason. Once out there we will be working with the Medical Students Association of Rwanda (MEDSAR) to foster behavioral change and increased under standing of sexual health issues among secondary school students, as well as to give support to people living with HIV/ AIDS. On top of this we will be taking part in workshops with Waverley Care, the leading support group for people living with HIV and AIDS in Scotland to try to raise awareness back at home. The Edinburgh– based project is organized by the student- run charity Edinburgh Global Partnerships (charity registration number SC018757).
